Complete Your Business Profile

🏢 Why Complete Your Profile?

Your business profile is your storefront on Bottoms Up. A complete, detailed profile will:

  • Appear in the public Business Directory
  • Help customers find and contact you
  • Improve your local SEO and online presence
  • Build trust with potential customers
  • Maximize the value of your subscription

Remember: Your business won't be publicly listed until you complete all required fields and check "Profile Completed"

Required Profile Fields

1 Business Name

Your official business or trading name. This is how customers will find you in searches.

2 Business Category

Select the category that best describes your business:

  • Pub
  • Bar
  • Restaurant
  • Gastropub
  • Other hospitality venues

3 Business Address

Your full business address including:

  • Street address
  • Town/City
  • County (select from dropdown)
  • UK Postcode

Tip: Use the postcode lookup feature to auto-fill your address. Just enter your postcode and select your address from the list.

4 Business Description

A detailed description of your business (200-500 words recommended). Include:

  • What products or services you offer
  • What makes your business unique
  • Your business history or story
  • Quality standards or certifications
  • Special offers or services

5 Contact Information

Make it easy for customers to reach you:

  • Phone Number: Your main business line
  • Email Address: Customer-facing email
  • Website: Your business website (optional but recommended)

Optional But Recommended

Business Logo

Upload your business logo to make your listing stand out. Recommended specifications:

  • Format: PNG, JPG, or SVG
  • Size: At least 400x400 pixels
  • File size: Maximum 2MB
  • Square aspect ratio works best

Social Media Links

Connect your social media profiles:

  • Facebook page
  • Instagram account
  • Twitter/X handle

Google Maps Embed

Help customers find your physical location:

  1. Go to Google Maps and search for your business
  2. Click "Share" then "Embed a map"
  3. Copy the iframe code
  4. Paste it into the "Google Maps Embed" field in your profile

Opening Hours

Let customers know when they can visit or contact you. Include special hours for holidays if applicable.

Important: Once you check "Profile Completed", some fields will be locked to maintain data integrity. Make sure everything is correct before marking as complete!

The "Profile Completed" Checkbox

This is the final step to go live. When you check this box:

  • Your business will appear in the public directory
  • Customers can find and contact you
  • Some fields become locked (for data consistency)
  • You can still update your description and contact info

Editing Your Profile

You can update your profile anytime from your dashboard:

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Click "Business Profile" in the navigation
  3. Make your changes
  4. Click "Save Changes" at the bottom

Profile Tips for Success

  • Be Descriptive: More detail = better search visibility
  • Use Keywords: Include words customers might search for
  • Keep It Updated: Change opening hours, special offers, seasonal info
  • Add Photos: A good logo makes your listing more professional
  • Complete Everything: The more complete your profile, the better it performs
